Kipi, the protagonist of our story, is a small millipede. Kipi is curious, playful and always searching the nearby woods for things to wonder about. One day, Kipi meets the oddball Höpsijä, whose mumblings make Kipi sad. Isn’t he a wonderful millipede as he is? Why should he change? Luckily, the wise hedgehog of the woods will help Kipi understand that disparity and uniqueness are powerful and should not be hidden.
The story reminds us that even the tiniest little creature is just as important as everyone else in order for our world to stay as beautiful and diverse as it is. The play is based on Marjatta Kurenniemi’s story ”Tuhatjalkainen”.
